12:01 PM Working With an Outdoor Personal Trainer—Benefits |
Many people enjoy working with an outdoor personal trainer because they do not like going to gyms and working out in such tight quarters. They enjoy working outside breathing in the fresh air with the only noises being that of the outdoors. Many times, when you go to the gym there is limited workout space and if you wanted to work on your cardio, there may not be any treadmills to use so you have to wait for one to get in your cardio workout. If you work out with an at home PT or with friends, you can do cardio with longer runs in your routine or do sprints. You do not have to wait to use the treadmill like you would at a gym. Some even have a treadmill at home. Gyms can also be stuffy and make it hard to breathe but when working outdoors, you get fresh air, making it easier to breathe. Also, when running outdoors, you don’t have to worry about the treadmill getting away from you because you are in control. Another benefit is that you do not have to wait for equipment to become available. This can be extremely frustrating if you are on a tight schedule. When you train outdoors with a personal trainer, you can schedule a time that works for you. You can do a variety of exercises outdoors that do not require equipment such as jogging. As mentioned, when working with an outdoor personal trainer, you will be getting plenty of fresh air, which is good for your physical and mental health. The fresh air will help to clear your mind. You are not breathing in that dry, stagnant air that comes from the air conditioners in the gym. You also don’t have to worry about any built-up body odors from others working out. Being in the fresh air also means fewer germs, which gyms can carry a lot of. At a gym, you are never sure if the equipment has been cleaned after others have used it. When working outdoors, there are fewer germs, and you will not be confined in an enclosed space with other people who are working out. It can also be cheaper to hire an at home PT because while you will have to pay for their services, you don’t have to worry about an expensive gym membership that you may just end up not using at all. With a personal trainer, you schedule your appointments when you have the time so no wasted money. There is also less interruption because sometimes in a gym if you are taking a class, you can have interruptions by people asking a lot of questions or people coming in late to the classes causing a disruption. With a personal trainer, you get one-on-one attention. Conclusion There are many benefits to having a personal trainer and working outdoors. The one drawback is in the winter months but there are still more advantages than disadvantages. If you do not like it, you can always go back to your gym membership. |
