During this pandemic, we’ve had to offload a lot of things to the Internet that we really never dreamed of digitizing before. Yes, there has been that steady trend of choosing the Internet to do things that we used to do in person, such as a lot of shopping, certain kinds of work, and certain forms of communication. However, this was a slow bit of progress in the past, and something that was more selective.

The pressure of staying isolated has changed this, and now pretty much everything that can possibly be done effectively online is done in such a way. School, work, even things like conventions, debates and lectures are all handled through an online forum now. Truth be told, this will probably remain the case well after the pandemic has subsided, because people are beginning to realize how much more convenient it is to just stay home and do things through a computer.

During this pandemic, we’ve had to move a lot of things they used to be up close and personal, to an online theater. Of course, this is been a natural part of progress for some time, but it was far more selective in what things were computerized, and the rate of progress was slow. There are those that are eager for everything to be more insular and online, and those whom do bemoan the loss of intimacy that comes with this.

Those who were skeptical, however, the something like an online bike fit would even work, have been forced by natural pressure due to this pandemic, to discover that it can indeed be done, and done well. If you’re a cyclist, you may be in bad need of a bike fit, but are dubious about the idea of a virtual bike fit.
