Auckland is New Zealand's largest city and its capital. Staying in Auckland on a budget

The lowest costing option and a popular one among the young backpackers are to find travel and youth hostels and stay there. Sometimes you have to share a room with several people in a classic dormitory style, but you can find places that have twins so you only have to share with one other. Some hostels do offer a single room, Auckland option. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are most commonly shared.
