How can obesity affect pregnancy?

Obesity is a harmful medical condition for aspiring mothers. Being obese inhibits normal ovulation and ability to get pregnant naturally. Its adverse effects include the failure of in- vitro fertilization (IVF). With increasing BMI the risk of unsuccessful IVF increases.

Women who are obese can face following problem during pregnancy:

2. Preeclampsia – Increased risk of high blood pressure and organ damage.
3. Infections: Obese women are at an increased risk of getting urinary tract infections.
