11:19 AM What Qualifies as Valuable? |
First, a brief description of what a pawn shop Marlboro does... A pawn shop deals in valuable items of all sorts. They will buy items from you outright or give you a loan with these items as collateral. Some of them will even consider a trade – your items for something in their shop. And, of course, a pawn broker's bread and butter is selling the valuable items that they acquire. Of course, this does not really explain what might qualify as valuable. Basically, a pawn shop Brick will consider your items to be valuable if they think they can resell the item or items for a profit. They might also consider it valuable if it has a remarkable history or if it is a rare item of some kind. Here are some examples of commonly pawned items: A pawn shop Freehold might consider various electronics to be valuable: laptop and desk top computers, newer video game consoles like X-Box 1 or PlayStation 4 and the games and accessories that go with them, mp3 players and iPods, tablets and cell phones of certain kinds. A pawn shop Marlboro would probably buy, or give you a loan against, musical instruments (guitars, trumpets, drum sets, clarinets, etc) and musical equipment such as mixing machines or fancy stereos. Other items that a pawn shop Freehold might consider valuable include: authentic art items (like paintings by popular or famous artists), leather garments (jackets, chaps, vests), motorcycle helmets if they are in good enough conditions, antique and/or genuine jewelry (real gold, real stones, etc), pop culture memorabilia and antiques, special collections (rare stamps or coins or trading cards), and various other collectibles such as rare Avon bottles and such. These examples are not by any means every single thing that a pawn shop Brick might find valuable – it is just meant to give you some idea of what you might be able to sell to a pawn shop for a little extra money. The truth is – you will never know what might be valuable if you do not ask. |
